Music Video Contest Rules

This year we are not only taking entries for Anime but for Live Action/Sci-fi as well.

1. All contest entrees must be the original work of the submitter.
2. Only one video per contestant per judged category. Categories consist of :
   • Anime-Action, Comedy/Parody, Drama/Romance, Un-judged
   • Sci-fi – Action, Comedy/Parody, Drama/Romance, Un-judged
3. Video may contain a 5 second personal marker with chosen screen name at the beginning of the video. If missing, one will be made for you. (Your screen name cannot be your real name).
4. Please include 1 second of black footage at the beginning and end of your video.
5. Videos must be a minimum of 45 seconds in length and must not be more than 6 minutes in length excluding time required for rules 3 & 4.
6. Videos must contain at least 75% of specified category (Anime or Sci-fi).
7. Subtitles are allowed but are greatly discouraged as they generally take away from the video and will be judged accordingly.
8. All entries must be submitted with an accurate and complete entry form.
9. Your screen name on your video and entry form must be the same.
10. All Judged videos must be submitted before 11:59 pm on Thursday, February 25th.
11. All Non-Judged videos must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 11th.
12. Videos must be in an approved format.
13. Videos must be family friendly.
14. Files must be able to play on Windows Media Player.
15. All participants must be present at the awards ceremony for their entry(s) to be considered valid. If the winner is not present, the runner-up will receive the reward instead.

By submitting your video(s) to this contest you consent to allow us to show your video(s) at Chronicles: Risen.

2. Best Overall – Sci-fi
3. Best in each Category

Awards will be presented during the convention.

How to submit your video

1. Disc format is preferred. Discs can be either mailed to or dropped off at given locations. Discs should be submitted in computer file format only. Do not submit in DVD format. Disc should be marked with contestant’s name, screen name, and video category. Files should be saved under Contestant name-screen name-Title of Video (example: John Smith-The Doctor-Fallen Angel). Please include copy of submission form on the disc as well as a hard copy.
2. Flash drive or direct file downloads. If you live in or near Wichita, Kansas you may email the AMV Coordinator about loading file to a flash drive. Use format rules listed above.
3. Internet File Transfer. You may choose to upload it over the internet. You will need to email the AMV Coordinator with a link to download your file. Please attach submission form to the email as well.
